Due to members like you, our ASSE Georgia Chapter serves our community in a variety of ways. For many years we have been an active participant in the Georgia Youth Alliance. This OSHA Cooperative Program has been transformed into the OSHA Sustainable Workforce Alliance. This new alliance will continue to provide resources for the protecting the health and safety of youth workers.

For the last two months, those that read the President’s message prior to the meeting were eligible for a special drawing. For this month, the only reward is what you gain from reading the message. I figure some of you, out of guilt, will continue to read on.

The continuing theme for these monthly messages is to ensure our chapter meets and exceeds our duties as the host chapter for next year’s ASSE Safety Conference.

Time is running short for identifying local facilities for tour events. All suggestions are welcome (places within ~12 mile radius of downtown). Please email our liaison, Stanly Reid at

As the host chapter for next year’s ASSE Safety Convention, we have been provided many opportunities to showcase our group on a national level. To be successful, we need to have our chapter step up to the plate and get involved. We need you.

An on going, and immediate need is to identify local industries and businesses that could host a tour of their facility or work site. All we ask of you is pass on companies that may be worthy candidates. If you know of a contact at a company, that would be a bonus.
